Meshtag will only access data that is critical for the use of the app. We will never access or store extraneous information.
When you create a verified Meshtag account using Facebook or Google login, we verify your account to ensure that you are a real person. We also store your first and last name so that you have the option to create "verified" tags that display your name when scanned. We also store your Facebook or Google ID, which is a unique string of numbers that identifies you as a user. This is so that you can access your account from multiple devices.
We will never share this information with anyone, except to comply with the law. We will never use this information in any way that is not directly associated with logging in to Meshtag or displaying verified tags. All information is stored securely.
When you log in anonymously, none of your user data will be accessed or stored whatsoever. You will not be able to create "verified" tags; all your tags will be anonymous.
Content that you share using the Meshtag app will not be shared with anyone, except to comply with the law. When you check the "Anonymous" box when editing a tag, that tag truly is anonymous, in the sense that no other user or outside entity is able to know anything about the user that created the tag.
Like most websites, meshtag.com collects non-personally-identifying information that web browsers typically provide, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. Meshtag only uses this information for our own monitoring purposes.
